Why is the blog "in hiatus"?
Simply put, I've been quite busy. Between work, school, and freelancing, I haven't kept GlobeLens as up-to-date as it should be with the latest science news and commentary. I hope not to give up the site altogether, since I enjoy blogging so thoroughly, but it's time for GL to take a break.
My original intent with the blog was to create a place where people could be informed of science news and discuss and debate the creationist perspective. There have been some great comments and debates here, and the blog has been quoted at other sites, like Slate. But beyond that, the interest in GL as a place of commentary and debate has been minimal. The future of GlobeLens holds three possibilities: 1) I may return to continue blogging after several months or so, when I'll (God willing) have finished school; 2) I may shut down GL completely and write and/or blog elsewhere; or 3) GlobeLens could be resurrected with a fresh format and approach, perhaps using multiple writers and including more creationist research news. Time will tell what happens.
Meanwhile, I hope you've enjoyed GlobeLens thus far. If you have thoughts, you can contact me here.
